Description

The HNU FabLab – Center for Innovation is a multidisciplinary fabrication and innovation hub established at Holy Name University with support from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) under the Shared Service Facility (SSF) program. It was created to strengthen education, research, entrepreneurship, and community development through access to advanced digital fabrication technologies.

The lab is equipped with modern tools such as CNC routers and milling machines, laser cutters, 3D printers and scanners, vacuum formers, and large-format print-and-cut machines. These facilities enable users to transform ideas into functional prototypes, product models, and small-scale production outputs.

HNU FabLab serves a diverse user base, including students, faculty, researchers, MSMEs, startups, professionals, government institutions, NGOs, creatives, makers, and hobbyists. It supports activities ranging from academic instruction and applied research to product development, design consultation, entrepreneurship incubation, and livelihood programs for local communities.

As a Center for Innovation, the FabLab integrates education, technology, and social responsibility, fostering hands-on learning, collaboration, and creative problem-solving. It plays a key role in nurturing local innovation, supporting industry needs, and empowering communities by providing access to tools, training, and expertise that drive sustainable and inclusive growth.
